Yet another fun Wednesday Open Mic Night at The Fawcett Inn.
Monthly Archive for September, 2007
Some fine acoustic guitar covers and a couple of her own songs.
Last night was a lesson learned – “Remember to plug the USB into the right on my MacBook Pro”. The hissing you can hear throughout is due to this. I’ve no ideas what’s happened as it used to work then suddenly stopped working.
So sorry about that, enjoy the music anyway.

Full of jams and Dan was up nearly every time.
A good mix of blues and rock. Sadly due to a technical problem when recording the second set stops about 4-5 minutes before the end.
Email them around, send them to your phone and bluejack people, stick em on walls – whatever.
Oh yes, get the PDF for printing here.
Another good Open Mic Night, the band “Joby” particularly stood out. Also of note were Owen’s set, Angie’s songs and Dan’s Zappa rendition.
See you next Wednesday at The Fawcett Inn.
Pics up shortly.
Jon and I (Jon is the other member of the audio engineering team at The Fawcett) are looking at getting a nice Firewire mixer for.. well, not just the Open Mic Nights but for anything else which might come up but also just because it’s got flashy lights and LEDs. We have so far decided in this Phonic Helix 12 which should allow each audio track to go as a separate track to Garageband for remixing, fixing levels, EQ etc later. So, if anyone has any experience with such setups and useful suggestions, please speak up. Thanks.
The Continentals, great blues. The first 2 songs are from the sound check. Original image on flickr.
